Sound bath in Vondelkerk

About:

During the sound bath you let yourself be carried away by waves of sounds. The sounds cleanse your subconscious and bring you into a state of deep rest and expansion of your consciousness. Tensions and blockages in the body can be released, creating more space for the opening of the heart and allowing energy to flow better.

The session begins with sounds of singing bowls or a variety of other instruments and then the gongs are gently invited to start sounding, gradually building the sound with a multitude of harmonics. There will be periods of other instruments and sounds but the main focus is on the gongs. These then gently fade to a variety of more grounding sounds towards the end, when complete silence pervades allowing recipients to be in this profound, powerful stillness for a short time.

Good to know:

- Please bring your own mat or camping pad, pillow and blanket to lie down comfortably.

- Places are limited to allow space for all to rest in, so advance booking is essential.
